The men's volleyball team swept the Cardinals of York College with scores of 25-13, 25-14, 25-23 in the team's home opener on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats totaled 37 kills compared to 12 by the Cardinals to go 3-0 in CUNYAC and 5-1 overall on the young season schedule.

Nick Smith led the way with 10 kills and seven digs, while Braden Carter had eight kills (.429) and two blocks in his Baruch debut.  

Scott Standring dished out 28 assists and Taylor Higgs totaled 13 digs.

Randy Adams led the visiting Cardinals with eight kills as they fall to 2-1 in CUNYAC and 3-8 overall.

The No. 9 men's volleyball team will quickly return to action at home tomorrow night, Thursday, February 12, with a highly-anticipated match against No. 2 ranked Kean University with first serve scheduled for 7:30 pm.

In other team news this week, senior Chris Kaimis was named the CUNYAC Player of the Week.
