The men's volleyball team defeated the Lightning of Lehman College in three sets in a CUNYAC match on Thursday evening in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats (9-3, 6-1 CUNYAC) hit a season-high .450 with 35 total kills, compared to 21 kills with a negative .015 hitting by the visiting Lighting (7-4, 4-3 CUNYAC).

The two teams were locked in a tough battle in the third set, but the Bearcats tallied three of the final four points to pull away for the 25-22 sweep.

Brady Ambro pounded out 10 kills (.533) and Nick Smith (.571) had nine kills for the conference win. Brian Coniglio dished out 20 assists and Jacob Mareschal Rudin had four kills (.571).

Emmanuel Ortiz dished out 18 assists and Jaleel Lino had seven kills for the Lighting.

The men's volleyball team will continue a busy stretch of their schedule with a home match tomorrow afternoon at 5:00 pm (updated time) against Vassar College.
