Chimaechi Ekekeugbor was named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for February 2018.
This is the fifth monthly honor for the senior from Matawan, New Jersey.
During February, he became the first Baruch basketball player to ever score 2,000 points in his career and only the second in CUNYAC men's basketball history.
HIGHLIGHTS
*Finished his collegiate career senior year by averaging 19.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.4 blocks, 1.3 steals, and shot 52.4% from the field in 2017-18.
*Scored 37 points in an ECAC Postseason Championship first round win at William Paterson University, which helped him reach 2,000 career points.
*In February, he totaled five double-doubles.
*Helped lead the Bearcats to a second place finish in the CUNYAC regular season standings.
