Yee Chung Phang has been named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for November 2018.
This is the second monthly honor (previous December 2017) for the senior from Bayside, New York.
During November, Phang on two occasions was voted the CUNYAC Swimmer of the Week and was also honored as the CUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Month.
HIGHLIGHTS
*She placed first against Adelphi and second against Queens in the 200 IM with a time of 2:22.77 and clocked a 1:12.54 in the 100-yard breaststroke for a first-place finish against Queens and a second-place finish against Adelphi (Nov. 8).
*Three event wins against the College of Staten Island in the 200 medley, 200 free, and 100 butterfly events (Nov. 16).
*Recorded more three wins against the College of New Rochelle in the 200 medley relay, 200 IM, and 100 breaststroke events (Nov. 19).
*She swam in eight events to help the Bearcats to a 16th place finish at the ECAC Championships. She continued to lead the conference with new season-high times in the 200-yard IM (2:17.35), 400-yard IM (4:55.89),100-yard breaststroke (1:11.57) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:33.87) (Nov. 30 to Dec. 2).
