Joaquin Azcue was named the Baruch Athlete of the Month for April/May 2017.

Due to the limited amount of athletic contests in May, the honor is combined for April and May.

This is the first monthly honor for the freshman from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Joaquin was undefeated in singles play until the NCAA Tournament. He finished with a combined 8-2 record during the months of April/May, and led the team to winning the CUNYAC Championship.

He was voted the 2017 CUNYAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year, along with being named the 2017 CUNYAC Championship MVP.

In the month of April, he was also named CUNYAC Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week on April 24^th.
