The men’s basketball team recorded their third straight road victory with an 87-61 victory against Medgar Evers College on Tuesday night in Brooklyn.

The Bearcats shot 65 percent (20-31) in the opening half and connected on 5-of-7 three pointers to build a 47-24 halftime advantage.

Medgar Evers attempted several rallies in the second half but the visiting Bearcats responded each time to improve their record to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the CUNYAC.

George Kunkel narrowly missed a double-double with 19 points, nine rebounds and five assists, while Tammer Farid scored 12 points.

Chris Beauchamp scored a career-high 11 points and five rebounds in 21 minutes of action. 

The men’s basketball team will return home on Thursday to play against York College. Tip off in the ARC Arena is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
